PREDICTION - PRZEPOWIEDNIA
Video installation, 200 randomly played 1-minute HD videos, 2024.
Prediction - Przepowiednia is a video work by Agnieszka Polska using animation and text inspired by speculative literature, systems theory, cybernetics, and science fiction. Randomly displayed, short "fortunes" - statements about the future are presented on black and white boards modeled on the traditional graphic design of silent film dialogues. Each paragraph is processed by an artificial intelligence model using stable diffusion: this gives the effect of slow entropy of the text, which appears and disappears, dissolving into incomprehensible, dynamically generated characters. The work can be viewed for a longer period of time, in the form of a randomly formed poem, as well as for a short moment, when the recipient needs an answer to a question or a hint about the future.
